1986 Jackson Firebird Custom
Robbin's fourth Jackson Firebird, built and delivered just before RATT's "Dancing Undercover" tour. Serial # J1860. Floyd Rose tremolo, single volume control, Seymour Duncan JB pickup & unusual/uncommon reverse head with standard sharkfin inlay combination. Rare Grover tuners (Jackson's regular tuning machine supplier , Gotoh, did not offer reverse or left handed tuners at this time)
This guitar was used at the beginning of the "Dancing Undercover" tour until Robbin snapped off the headstock during a show in Jackson(!) Mississippi on 1/25/87. It was sent back to Charvel/Jackson Guitars in Ontario, California for repair on 1/26/87. Repair order #RA-195. The guitar was repaired by master luthier Mike Shannon at Charvel/Jackson Guitars & returned to Robbin on 6/4/87, just in time for the Japanese leg of the tour.
Pictured in various RATT tour programs & a few studio photo shoots. One of his best playing/sounding guitars.
